About the event
We offer participants a unique, creative experience introducing the first steps of rug-making and tapestry techniques. Inspired by local surroundings, participants will learn about textiles, sustainability, and design processes. This hands-on workshop includes creating a mood board, understanding structure and tension, and crafting a 40x40cm sample.
Participants can bring their own textile waste, ribbons, yarn, felt fibbers, beads, charms, wire (no rust), dried plant stems and or sticks (anything)
If weather conditions are unsuitable, inspiration activities will be held indoors using pre-prepared images and samples.
We are dog friendly and welcome well-behaved dogs and provide a dog bed. Please email us if you plan to bring your dog. Note: Other dogs may also be present, and food will be available in the workshop area.
